As a family of art and design enthusiasts from Hamburg, our stay at Bed And Breakfast De Salix was truly delightful. The charming old farm house's warm and welcoming atmosphere immediately made us feel at home. The owners, fluent in Dutch, English, and German, were incredibly accommodating.During our stay, we booked the spacious family room under the roof, where our little ones could play freely in the designated area. The in-room coffee and tea machines were a convenient touch, allowing us to unwind after a day of exploring nearby Hitzum and Franeker.One of the highlights for our family was the delicious international breakfast spread, catering to both adults and children. Our hosts' homemade jams were a hit with the kids and made for a lovely souvenir to bring back to Germany.
